New iOS app doesn't sync new emails

Well not looking good so far, refreshed the Global inbox 5 times after force restarting the app and it’s still not updating mail. Still shows mail deleted on the desktop at least 30 minutes ago. This is after applying the changes recommended.

The bar keeps scrolling left to right constantly.

I’ll Restart iPhone now and see if that makes any difference.

Ok, so final update - restarted network settings and restarted iPhone, App and it now seems to have updated mail in line with what I’m seeing on the Desktop App.

Looks like it got stuck somewhere, fingers crossed this has cured the mail refresh
issues.

I have a different understanding of what it means when an app is about to be released.
Almost another month has passed and nothing has happened. The last update was over 3 months ago.
I have the feeling that the company consists of 2 employees. Although they are good programmers, they are simply overwhelmed by the different platforms.
In any case, it is simply no fun for users to use the programs if they have to wait months or years for bug fixes or even new features.

You have absolutely no idea how complex is to release the application of this complexity. We will release it once it is ready. Meanwhile we were focused on releasing the desktop version 10.1, which took more time than we expected.

I studied computer science, so I can well imagine that. As I wrote above, I am convinced that the developers are doing a very good job.
Nevertheless, I have the feeling that the capacity of developers is not sufficient to support all the platforms accordingly. iOS: Nowadays, it is not enough to release an update for an app in the AppStore every 4 months, especially if there are still some bugs. Users expect more timely support here.
macOS: memory consumption is a big problem here. If you use 1 GB RAM or more just for the EM client, then the other apps will notice this. Especially with regard to RAM consumption, competitors only need 250 MB. Here too, a bug fix is urgently needed.
I have known em client from the Windows world for a long time. The development cycles have always been rather slow, but under Windows it’s fine because the program is already very stable there.
But with the two new platforms (iOS and macOS), where the programs still run very unsatisfactorily, I believe that much faster processing and bug fixing is necessary if you don’t want to lose customers.
One suggestion: Maybe make a release more often in which only a few bugs are fixed and not always just make “big” releases…and maybe hire more developers.

I disagree. From my own experience of developing Windows and Mac desktop programs and apps for iOS & Droid, it can and does sometimes take along-time in between releases till you get a stable enough Beta for public users to try. Making a mobile app to work / mirror like a desktop app is very complex. So i don’t think thats a problem at all that the last app update was in August. You have to be patient.

Ps I personally are always testing many new upcoming desktop & mobile apps and some of those are 6-12 months in-between releases. Even Microsoft new OS desktop Betas sometimes are up to 6 months or more apart. The last eg: Google Photos Beta i tested was over 12months apart. So even major companies do sometimes take alongtime inbetween Beta public releases.

One suggestion: Maybe make a release more often in which only a few bugs are fixed and not always just make “big” releases…and maybe hire more developers.

Its never a good thing to push apps out with many known bugs. You want apps to be as stable as possible before releasing them publicly or you just end up getting not good feedback. So better to delay apps till they are as bug free as possible. Also from my own experience the cost to hire extra developers is very expensive and not always viable for companies to do that.

With the mobile app, we are moving the project to a more modern framework that takes a LOT of effort and testing. The result should be a quicker and more stable mobile app. But yes together with releasing the desktop version 10 and 10.1, acquiring of Postbox and working on full-fledge mobile app that includes contacts, tasks, calendar and notes (and is almost finished) in parallel, just takes some time, but I promise that the result will be worth it. It is not about fixing a few bugs, it is about rewriting a big part of the application, that’s why it takes some time.

Appreciate all the good efforts of the developers! Love the apps and became a reseller. Would like to see an update thought - another month has passed since the last comment. It there a published development timeline to check ?
