Has anyone tried keyboard-shortcut reassignments in the Beta? I installed eM Client 9.0.534.0 (Win10 Pro), and none of my keyboard-shortcuts work. I’ve reassigned several of the keyboard-shortcuts to the same keys that the Gmail web client uses — e.g., “e” for archive and “v” for move-to-folder — without success.
I’ve even tried resetting all of the shortcuts to default, and then re-reassigning my own keys, but eM Client continues to ignore them. Only the default shortcuts work.
eM Client 8 has been working as expected with the same key reassignments.
Good call @cyberzork ! Yes, if I use a modifier key with the shortcut, e.g. Ctl-E for Archive instead of just e, the shortcut works.
With that said, eM Client 8 works fine with keyboard-shortcuts that don’t have modifiers, so I have plain e assigned for Archive in eM Client 8 — to match the functionality in the Gmail web client. I’m hoping the developers can fix eM Client 9 soon. (They acknowledged the report I emailed to them.)
Since I have upgraded to version 9.0.231 (b25143a) in the inbox I have an email header (the email has no content) that cannot be removed, deleted archived or anything… Is this a version bug or a database issue? If the later, how this could be addressed?
Wondering if there is an option in V9 Beta when using the new “toggle dark or light” in the body of the email to automatically save either option for a specific email like eg: Google Play receipts which always need the (light) toggle option or is nearly unreadable.
The “recurring tasks” problem not showing in the Agenda should now be resolved in the latest official eM Client V9 Beta (2) 9.0.599 Windows via the ver history page.
Ps Backup first though via “Menu / Backup” before installing updating to any new Beta.
Thank you! Yes, it is working now. It seems to have introduced a new bug though. The tasks seem to be duplicated in the task list at later dates. I know it is that way because if I edit the task both the current and the future task edit. Normally, a recurring task would just show on the due date and then once completed it would show again on the next date but that doesn’t seem to be the case now.
So I’ve had the beta version for some time. At the beginning there were some problems that were fixed really quickly.
Unfortunately, the different scaling for two monitors does not work yet, but otherwise I am very, very satisfied with the current version 9.0.599.
