Email Junk/Spam issue [email protected]

Everyday I am getting emails from [email protected]. Can someone write a rule that will stop these unwanted emails from even getting to my junk/spam folder ? Xfinity did that on their website but I have tried everything that I can think of but so far no luck. Any help will be highly appreciated. THANKS

That usually means one of your contacts in eM Client “contacts section” doesn’t have a display name or a valid email address associated with it..

Right click on the [email protected] email address in your email and you can edit that sender contact to fix / update that for future.

See the following threadt

Thanks, cyberzork, but you missed the point.

A contact list is a list of people with whom I have contact in various ways including Signal and WhatsApp.

I have contacts with whom I do not communicate by email - I have no interest in their email address. They are in my Contact List because I need solely NAME and PHONE. If PHONE is missing I do not get “invalid-phone” or 9(999)999-9999.

The addition of unwanted “[email protected]]” is itself junk and should be eliminated. A blank email address is perfectly fine and not unsightly.

Yes I personally also have heaps of contacts I only chat with using What’s app and Messenger etc and don’t email, but I still put in their email address & contact name to avoid getting [email protected] .

However if you don’t want to put in an email address with the contact name, then if the [email protected] email “is in your Inbox” and shows in the header “then setup a header rule” to automatically move those emails to your Trash folder as per this example

After message has been received
from ‘invalid’, ‘invalid.invalid’, 'nobody’, ‘[email protected]
move to Trash

if the [email protected] email “is in your Inbox” “and doesn’t show in the header” “then you carnt setup an automatic rule and you would need to manually delete it or move to trash.

If the [email protected] email is automatically “going straight in the Junkmail folder” if your server automatically moves it, then you also carnt setup a header rule “as rules only apply in your Inbox” as per this thread,

So if they are automatically going to your Junkmail folder you can set the Junkmail folder in Settings to automatically delete after Xdays as per @Gary post in that same thread.

Others on this forum might comment on this if there is any other way to avoid this problem.
