I’m trying to find out how I remove the old email addresses that appear every time I start typing a name. I’ve tried every solution posted in the forum but nothing works. It seems like there’s an internal database that eMClient keeps…
See the following thread:-
Have tried all of these suggestions with no joy…
The only thing I have found is under “Contacts”>“Other Contacts” - all of the addresses/contacts I want to delete are there, but when I try to delete any of them I get an error because they are read only. I have gone into “Contacts” in Gmail and deleted everything there but it makes no difference to the contacts in eMClient. Any suggestions about where the database is that holds the “Other Contacts” in eMClient? If I can find/delete this I think it would solve the issue.
Actually - have just found the solution.
After deleting “Other Contacts” in Gmail, you need to select the “Other Contacts” in eMClient, right-click>“Properties”>“Repair”.
I’d assumed it would sync automatically after clearing in Gmail but it seems the offending addresses are stored locally after they are used. The method above got rid of everything I didn’t want but kept my “Contacts” intact.

Yes as @Gary advised in the below thread, the latest V10 eM Client "now shows the Google account read only “Other Contacts” which as you said if you no longer want to see them in eM Client, you have to go online and delete them and then run the repair in eM Client to re-sync your contacts to your online account.
Using Google’s new granular permissions supported in the latest release of eM Client, you can exclude access to that folder when the account is setup. That means the folder will not be in eM Client at all.
If the account is already setup, you can login to your Google account security page and revoke access for eM Client. Then start eM Client and make the selection.
