On the subject of complexity and the ‘necessary’ evolution of the product, that’s exactly what I would have liked to say.

Following up, 10.0.3351 so far hasn’t crashed on start-up. I still get crashes on dismissing reminders (separate thread). Will try upgrading to latest released build and see if that helps.

The problem with rules should now be fixed. It was happening to a very specific group of users, that’s why it was not discovered during a very long and thorough test phase.

We’ve moved Blacklist from Rules dialog to Settings->Mail->Blacklist.

Not had a crash with 10.0.3447 so far. Fingers crossed!

On my work desktop with Win 10, the first public v. 10, 10.0.3266.0, crashed incessantly, making it impossible to get anything done, forcing me to return to 9. After returning from a trip, I tried 10.0.3447.0, and there is progress in that I am getting an hour of work with this version between the crashes. These crashes are often tied to opening an attachment. On my 3 laptops, v. 10 is stable.

@duncanpa If v10 is stable on 3 of your laptops, and the issue is only on a desktop, then I would suspect something running on that computer is conflicting with eM Client to cause it to crash. If it only happens when opening an attachment, it makes me think it might be some type of security tool that is scanning the attachment file when opened in some way and causing eM Client to crash. Have you tried to figure out which software might be conflicting with it? Such as comparing what is one the laptops vs the desktop that has any possibility of conflicting with it (like security software).

Also if eM Client crashes it usually gives the opportunity to send the crash report. Make sure you send the crash reports to eM Client so they can examine them to aid in any crash fix. It shouldn’t crash at all if possible, so those reports are important to send to them.

It just crashed on one of the laptops, too. The problem with sending the crash reports is that the crashes are silent, just eM Client abruptly closing down. Out of the 10 or so crashes over the last 2 days, there was not a single one when the report window opened up. As to the security software on the work computer, I cannot suspend that software. My rights there are limited, I have more rights on the laptops but at the cost of not being allowed to connect the laptops to the work network. The crashes with opening the attachments are not repeatable - after eM Client gets back on its feet, I may be able to open the same attachment without a crash. If I open that attachment under Outlook it will never crash.

I’m anything but a power user, however, after using ver 10 for a while now, I’m satisfied its ok. Not as many bugs as originally thought. I’m happy…
