Version 10 completely buggy, impossible to work

After the update to v10 the app has become unusable. It freezes at every possible occasion and can only be killed by TaskManager. Examples ?

File->Export : freeze
copy mail to folder : “this might take a while” : in fact it takes forever, freeze

The worst about it that this version is public since nearly one week and nobody has solved these problems, neither the unusability with categories enabled. Also nobody from the team seems to answer any “freezing” posts here. I will change my eMail client now…

It seems upgrade from v9 to v10 is problematic . I m not thinking upgrade to v10 these days.
i would do this if I want to install v10 ; completely full backup emails and settings in v9 and put these backed up files to another folder in computer or another hdd or usb (for safe backup ) and uninstall the v9 completely . after that install v10 and restore the backed up emails and settings
Maybe this way can solve lots of problems

For me, V10 is showing I have 3 new emails, but they haven’t been pulled in. It’s only showing up to yesterdays emails, not todays. Hope there’s a fix really soon. Is there a way to roll back?

I completely agree with the above.
I updated from the latest version 9 to the proposed version 10, and since then I have only encountered problems, including “unread messages” which do not exist… And other problems…
I tried the “repair” but it doesn’t complete, and gives an error message regarding the “MailClient.cab” file.
This version 10 is a real disaster for our Company, and I cannot go back to version 9.
It’s completely irresponsible to put online a version that is not usable and causes malfunctions…

I’ve shelved the program until there’s a fix.

Great question. Would love to know the same. I can’t operate on v 10. Way way way too slow.

The Developers must be having a bad day.
I guess the feature enriching is a way to keep people buying.
Honestly I wouldnt mind a small yearly fee just to use it.

But I dont want eMclient to turn into outlook version 999 full of crud I didnt need and over-complicated. Its getting there

Have you enabled the classification in the upgrade wizard? If yes, they are possible in the “Other” classification tab.

This looks like a corrupted installation download. We have not observed any such error from other users.

I upgraded directly from the V9 “upgrade option”. What the best remedy to fix?

Hi, if you can replicate the freeze, please use the option to Profile the program (menu>Help>Profile for 10 seconds) and then replicate the issue within those 10 seconds.
The logs can then be found via menu>Help>Open logs directory.
Send those logs to me at [email protected] and I’ll get them analyzed so we can see what causes the freeze and find a solution.

Another option is that both Menu>Export and Copy to Folder would open another window to continue the action - does the window appear? Is this window perhaps off screen/on another screen? The program would wait for the action to be finished in those new windows (Export selection for the Menu>Export option or Folder selection for Move) and therefor might be inactive until that is finished.

You can try using Switch task (Alt Tab) to move to that window or changing your display resolution to force all windows to come back to the default screen when this happens and see if that helps.

I also had massive problems.
After downloading the installation file and going into the repair menu, it terminated with an error, but now the program seems to work!

“open another window” is of course a good comment for beginners, not the reason here though (no windows shown using Alt-Tab).

Just to extend the list :

unread messages : mark 4 and “delete” : “this action might take a while” : takes forever, frozen
unread messages : click on 1 message to view : frozen

After each kill and restart of the app it finds > 30k errors in the database, but maybe this is normal after killing the app… ?

However, I downloaded the “emclient-v10.0.3266.msi” file 3 times from your website.
Yesterday evening I updated my version 9 to version 10 using: “Menu” and “Check for updates” of the eM Client software.
I have a PRO License, with lifetime updates.
As soon as version 10 was installed, messaging became impractical with a mixture of messages and accounts.
What can I do? I would like to revert to version 9.

I am also noticing that a draft that gets saved isn’t removed once the email is sent. I have a draft still in my folder, and it is also blank although the email was written and sent. I can’t delete it either. Opening and closing the program isn’t removing it. If I go to my gmail email it doesn’t show a draft so this issue is just with EM Client. I am wondering if I should remove the auto save draft feature now.

I’m still struggling with this version 10, I realize that I’m not the only one to encounter problems.
When I try the command: “C:\Program Files (x86)\eM Client\MailClient.exe /dbrepair”
the line “checking corrupted data” quickly checks green.
But the line “Checking data consistency” regularly gives the results: 8386 Errors resolved.
Whereas with version 9, there were no errors!!!???
So what is going on??? With this version 10???

This new version is not ready for primetime. Too many problems with too many addons other than just a good email program. Users want too many things for it to do. I don’t need it to turn on my TV or cook my food or get my Gmail or other email programs. If you want gmail, log into Gmail. I just want a very good program to get and send mail. Thanks.

I have and my friends have personally been testing eM Client V10 for months on PC & Mac prior to the official latest release V10.0.3266 and it’s definitely in my option ready for primetime.

Can you explain exactly what issues you are having with the latest release.
