I am asking this on behalf of my daughter. We both use eM Client for access to our GMX mail.
My daughter’s old PC uses Widows10 O/S.
Because her PC had become very slugish I decided to do a Windows refresh or, as it is also called, a reset. I failed to make a back up copy of all the documents and now, although I have re-installed eM Client on the reset PC I cannot get it to load her old emails that are still showing on her GMX account.
Is it possible to get the emails still showing on her GMX account transferred to the re-installed eM Client other than by forwarding them to herself?
Regards to all.

If you did a Windows reset and “didn’t choose to save her previous profile” via the Windows option “Keep my files and Settings”, then you would need your GMX Mail account settings from your website or GMX phone technical support to setup her account as new again to then download all your GMX mail and folders etc. Do you know what your mail account settings are ?
If you don’t know the GMX Mail account settings, go on your computer to “Menu / Accounts” and click on your GMX account on the left and then click on your eg: POP or IMAP tab and SMTP Tab and jot down the Server address, Port and Security Policy. Then add the account on your daughters computer either via the “Add account / Automatic account wizard” at the top of eM Client or via the “Add Account / Mail / Other” option depending on what GMX supports.
Note:- From what ive read on this forum, GMX accounts do setup ok via the automatic account wizard.
Also if you have enabled 2 factor authentication in your daughters GMX account. when you setup her mail account in eM Client, you will normally need a separate “App Password” for eM Client instead of your normal mail password as per the following eM Client Support page.
Many thanks cyberzork for your response to my problem. I eventually got my daughter’s eM Client to function as it should. After about four attempts involving starting from the beginning I finally stumbled on the correct procedure for inserting all the necessary email account information. In my own defence, I would add that, in my humble opinion, the setting up system is not that easy to follow. However, all’s well that ends well. I lost all the local folder information of course but I expected that.
Thanks again for your interest and advice.

If you have lost eM Client Local Folder messages when you reset Windows, you can restore them from either an “eM Client backup” or the “eM Client hidden database folder” if you have been backing up her computer regularly to another hard-disk or external drive etc.
