Strange message in Inboxes

when I move the mouse over the address display in inboxes, a line appears which shows
‘mail address . x elements (y unread")

For example, x is the number 21 although I see (0/1) in the Inbox window, 0 = unread (corresponds to y), 1 = visible mails.
How can I make the ‘x elements’ (i.e. the 21 mails in the example) visible?

If you have eM Client V10, could be you have “Inbox Categories enabled” and the missing 21 emails not visable are in different inbox categories.

See eM Client V10 Video which explains all the new features including Categories and what you can do if those missing emails are in the new Categories.

I have version 10, the option ‘Inbox Categories enabled’ is NOT selected and I have not assigned any categories. The strange messages are ‘recent badges’. They occur everywhere, e.g. with ‘Deleted items’. There, the number indicated also matches the number in the main window. Only in the inbox are a large number of messages displayed in the ‘recent badges’, but these are not visible in the main window.
After examining all the options, I can say that the strange messages only appear in ‘recent badges’ when I select ‘View-Conversations-Show Conversations in All Views’. Then the question remains as to which conversations are involved.

Then the question remains as to which conversations are involved.

No idea. The only thing I can suggest is maybe to “disable the conversations” and see if that then might show you what messages they relate to.

If you then can’t find anything, re-enable conversations again and “look in the Unread folder under Favourites” at the top left.

Now if nothing in Unread, maybe just “disable the recent displaying and recent counter” for now if you are confident you have read all messages. See the following thread on how to do that in V10.
