Recovering local folders from backup

I just got a paid acccount and it retrieves my emails in the active folders. But I need to go get the local folder contents from an older backup. How is this done? Putting the older backup into the current client does not pull out the local folders and items. Do I double click on one of the .dat files with my local items and folders in it? How I got here is a story too long to tell right now. I see no restore button anywhere. I have rebooted, does not help.

You can do a partial restore ā€œfrom either an older eM Client Backup" or "from an older hidden mail database folderā€ to restore your local folder messages.

See my post in the following thread on partial backup restores.

Or see the following eM Client official support blog page below on restoring a backup including "how to do a partial restoreā€œ part way down the following eM Client blog pageā€.
