Sometimes when I am replying to an email and it pops up a new window for me to compose my email in, the framework of the window and everything EXCEPT the actual message area, open quickly. Then, there is a several second pause before there is anything displayed in the message window (the previous message I am replying to, my signature).
This also happens when adding a new calendar event and clicking on Show Advanced Options and then there can be a several second pause before the words “Enter Description” appear in the box and I can start typing.

Long delays displaying the message body more than a sec when replying and forwarding is not normal and “only happens to a very small amount of users” and can sometimes be due to eg: “external http web content waiting to load in the message body” or can be sometimes caused by eg: some images (typically in signatures) saved on shared or badly accessible drives/disks. as @Michal_Burger advised in his post below.
However if a long delay is happening with every email “as you have a good new spec hardware”, then to troubleshoot that “you will need your logs investigated”. So go to the following thread and see posts from @Michal_Burger and @Olivia_Rust “near the end of the thread” on how to do that and what is required.
Also for troubleshooting, if you are running any eg: optionally installed firewall / security programs or optionally installed antivirus programs or vpns “other than what comes default with the OS” completely disable those to test incase of interference with a resident background program..
When I click to create a new email (which loads my signature that has no images) the signature comes up and I can start typing within a second or so at most. When replying, this can take much longer, five seconds or more. What concerns me is not just that, but the delay sometimes happens when creating a new calendar entry and I click on “Show advanced options” to get the box where I can type a description. Sometimes that comes up nice and fast, like within a second, sometimes that too can take five seconds or more. Since it is a brand new calendar entry I dont think it is trying to load images anywhere.
I currently have five active email accounts and three inactive. Four are POP, four are IMAP. The calendar is connected to a Google account (imap).
I should also mention I have two internet connections, a primary, and a fail over. My primary is 1gig cable (of which I normally get 800+), and my fail over is 250mb 5G service which routinely gets over 200mb. On this PC I have no antivirus or firewall other than what windows comes with, and no VPN.
Well, this is a bit more complex issue. eM Client uses chromium (the same as Chrome) rendering core for displaying html content (email body, event description etc). The problem is that with every new window the new instance (new process) of the chromium has to be created. Normally for the Windows OS in good condition this is almost instant. For some Windows (typically with a lot of software installed) the new process execution takes a lot more time (it can be even seconds instead of a few milliseconds). This typically causes this issue. The partial solution might be a Windows cleanup. For the upcoming version 11, we are migrating to the newest version of Chromium that comes up with some workarounds for this issue (creating +1 Chromium process ahead of time etc), so it should improve quite a bit.
