I see several old threads complaining about this and it doesn’t seem to have been fixed. I can’t get dependent on the indicator since it’s unreliable. I have to close and reopen the program to make it go away after mail is read. Thx

Is this with Windows or Mac OS and what OS ver, and also what version of eM Client are you using.
Windows 11 with the current eM Client beta.
And I should add that it’s not all the time that it happens.
Ok well there is a new V10 Beta due out soon according to a recent thread so keep an eye out on the release history page and try the new updates Beta version when it’s released.
Not fixed in May '24 beta.

I narrowed it down. It is when a snoozed email resurfaces after the snooze times out. The unread indicator appears on taskbar icon even though the message is not marked unread (ie, not bolded). Marking the message or the folder read doesn’t clear it.
Hopefully, this will enable @Testing to fix.
