I have a number of distribution lists, syncing with my gmail lists, in my contacts. Now when I send an email to someone, it comes up with the name of the distribution list they are part of, rather than their name. Eg if John Doe is in a distribution list called “friends”, when I type in John Doe in the “to” box, it comes up with “friends ”. quite confusing, especially as people are in more than one group.
Anyone know how I can stop this?

Disappointing this has been a problem for over a year.
I was finally able to fix this problem by completely uninstalling the EmClient software and then downloading a fresh copy and reinstalling it. Once I set up my account (Gmail) all of my email and contacts downloaded and now work properly.
I recommend making sure that your contacts are stored correctly in the cloud (Gmail in my case) so when you reinstall the account they are all cleaned up and in good shape. Check any distribution lists that you might have to see if they look correct in your cloud based email server.
