Linux YES PLEASE. Make it available for us.
+1 for Linux support!
I used to use eM Client on all of my Windows business computers but due to Microsoft security issues, I changed to running Linux Mint
What security issues do you have with Windows that you then had to change to Linux ?
I and many of my friends run Windows 10 & 11 Home and Pro in wired and wireless Lan networks with eM Client 9 & 10 āand donāt have any security issuesā. Windows 10 is also still secure to use untill Oct 2025. If your computer doesnāt have TPM support and you carnt run Windows 11, then you would normally purchase a new computer desktop or laptop or new motherboard for your pc.
Windows 10 and 11 also has built in Windows defender program which has a firewall built in and also guards against viruses, malware etc which also works with eM Client without any issues.
I see security issues everyday on Windows. When they do some update they brake something else or create security hole. Another potential security issue is that when there is new update bringing some new feature, it is turned on without warning and can cause some issues.
I personally donāt normally get that type of thing happen with Windows as I create registry restore points regularly and complete image backups regularly so if there is any issues I can then easily roll them back quickly and be up and running. Also you can easily boot up in safe mode and uninstall any update if something has gone wrong with Windows which I find is very rare.
Another potential security issue is that when there is new update bringing some new feature, it is turned on without warning and can cause some issues.
You can also control / schedule when Windows does install updates. So you can then pause them if you have eg: heard of any potential problems with an update. Then enable the update later when itās pushed out again.
Far better in my opinion to stay with Windows than having to go to Linux and loosing eM Client. Or use Mac which also works perfectly with eM Client. I also use that everyday.
Thatās what I donāt want to do. I use my PC for work not for testing Windows update or do soooo many stuff just in case Windows will brake anything. Thatās what Linux users usually should not take care of as the system is reliable!!!
I bought a license back around v7 and liked emclient. Now for the last several years, Linux Mint is my main daily driver and Iām not going back to Windows. I would purchase a LInux version and I know of at least a handful of other people who would as well. Thunderbird is ok, sorta, but beyond that there really donāt seem to be any great Linux mail options.
Please support Linux. Other platforms are on the way downā¦
As a user that was given a M3 128GBs MacBook Pro at work, it is so frustratingā¦
- Software management is so outdated/broken
- Windows management is infuriating

I canāt wait to go back to Linux once I can request a replacement again.
Using Linux for personal use for over 20 years and not fully satisfied with available e-mail software available in the platform.
A trusted independent quality software vendor is something I may be willing to accept the trade-off of not being free software as long as it can run on a free software platform. We make those trade offs constantly with Android or proprietary drivers/firmware. But want to be able to make that decision myself.
Add my request for a Linux version. Iāve been a paid client for eM Client on Windows 7 for many years. Unfortunately, Windows 7 is getting difficult to use since many software packages are dropping support and preventing updates. I donāt like Windows 11, so Iām going to switch to Linux MATE. Iām willing to pay for eM Client on Linux.
My understanding is that eM Client is implemented in dotNet. Linux now can run dotNet Core, so perhaps porting is now feasible. Since eM Client already runs on Mac, that should make the Linux implementation easier.
I didnāt know that there is a possibility to vote for suggestions. Maybe we all should also vote for a Linux version on Sleekplan.
