ok you need to start by creating a new account, don’t use the automatic setup select mail > other > enter your email address > then check th box for IMAP and use the settings above exactly as they are but use your email address.
NO WAY!!! I have mail!
Thank you!!!
Excellent!!!
So the IMAP settings worked, that’s great.
You are most welcome, glad we got there in the end.
ps I have lodged a support ticket regarding the removal of your email address, hopefully they will respond promptly
what is the limit of emails in eMClient?
:-( . . . . For some reason, it has stopped working!
hmm, There is no limit on emails, the Only limit is that if you are using the Free License you can only have two accounts configured.
What error is in the log, go to Menu > Tools > Operations > Errors

It says that it failed to connect to the server.
I tried both of the numbers and it was 993 that I thought worked.
Does the diagnostic test find any issues?
It says server not responding and I pressed FIX
what result do you get from the fix?
I have tampabay.rr.com in the hostname
should it be mail.rr.com?
It appears that the outgoing hostname was changed to smtp.tampabay.rr.com
did you delete the first POP account or are they both showing in your accounts?
they are both showing but I made the IMAP account the default.
it said if I deleted the POP account, it would delete mail
OOOPS my bad, that POP account is the one still still giving the errors, we do need to delete this.
Now are there actually any emails in the POP folders? if there are any there that are not in the IMAP folders then we need to export them first
sorry for the oversight, thats what happens at 4.30 am
emails in the inbox, sent, etc. but I have not made any folders
There are some smart folders - All Inboxes and Unread
It says it will “delete all folders and items in this account tree”
OK first step go to accounts > select the POP account > on general tab change account name to POP. (this will make it easier in the next step)
Now go to Menu > File > Export > Export to eml files > click next > double click the POP account > check the box for sent and inbox ( and any other you wish to save) > click next > click brows > select desktop > click new folder > highlight the new folder then click select folder.
