how to stop gmail from asking for password?

Hello, as previously suggested this only occurs on several eM Client installations and it is not considered to be a major issue, however we’re working on finding a solution in order to improve the application’s behaviour with your gmail account.

Philip, thank you for the received data, it seems like there’s some token distribution issue, after sleep, or the proper authentication token is no longer valid when the application tries to sync with the server, as usual this issue can be resolved immediately with next connection to the server (eM Client should not require for you to login again, it’s possible to close the window without the need to authenticate).

I’ll be in contact with you soon, because we’re unable to get all the necessary data from the received logs, we are still missing viable information that would help us detect the issue.

So this “few” person has finally had it. After your response (“only occurs on several eM Client installations”) and due to your failure to solve this for months, let alone dealing with the crashes after we the people have sent you detailed dumps, I have uninstalled em Client, will never reinstall it, gone to Thunderbird (don’t like outlook, though I have a licence), not coming back. Thank you.

I have gotten the same issue for months now–becoming too much hassle. I update whenever new versions come out. I also get errors syncing contacts (Google) and have had to reload an account before.

Hello Andrew,
the syncing contacts error was a separate issue that happened on Google servers, they fixed their error since then and reloading the account was sadly the only work-around to fix it.
As for the sing in, can I just ask if you have the 2-step verification enabled in your gmail account, by any chance?
We are still working on this issue and we hope to have a version that fixes it out soon.

I only installed eMClient a few days ago for the first time.

Errors are the same as the OP. “connection to account fail. this could be caused by temporary server unavailability…” .

This seems to happen when waking from sleep and/or when the internet connection isn’t fully active (either the wifi hasn’t connected from sleep or the hotspot requires authentication before you can connect to the internet.

Hi Chris,
try adding eM Client to your exceptions in Windows firewall and Antivirus software, they could be interfering with eM Client connection to the server.
If that does not help, please copy the content of Tools>Operations>Log window for me here.

Hello Chris,
I’ll need the basic logs from your database, please go to Menu>Tools>Settings>Advanced and click ‘Send logs…’.
Change the recipient of the message to [email protected] and add the link to this forum topic in the body of the message.

Dump eM, they have been playing this “we have a bug game” for a year now. Once they were good, now they are not. Move to Thunderbird. I have, after trying to debug this for them for a month.
