Filter/display unread messages per account

Kinda follow-up to 99121 …

Is there a way to filter/display unread messages per account? Currently all unread messages from all accounts are displayed in a single list.

Maybe there is a trick/hack/parameter I have overseen … this issue seems to come a every now and then since 2013 …

Have you tried setting up a search folder?

You could do a search for a specific sender, add the “Marked as Unread” category to the search, and then choose “Create Search Folder…” at the bottom of the search pane when done.

This adds a smart folder to your folder list in the left panel which will update on the fly. It might be a solution for you.

I just played around a bit and the solution is embarrassingly simple: there is a small “Filter” item/symbol in the upper right part, where I can choose which mails to be displayed (in current folder).

But, … the way you propose is even smarter, as it looks for all (specified) folders of a given account! That’s perfect. I hadn’t played with “search folders” before …
