A few of us are getting the same issue. See Outlook: Bad Command Error. 12 - Mail - eM Client

We don’t know why at this stage.

This seems to have worked for me.

Thank you this does seem to have worked

It did here too but now:

Spoke to soon, I am getting the errors again.

Me too.

I followed this advice too, and for the time being, no sync problems. Less than one hour since I made that change.

If you’re curious, I posted the errors here: Operations email errors won't stop

7 days - no sync problems after making the above change.

I am still getting these errors for my outlook accounts. I installed EPIM Pro trial version on a separate PC and it works perfectly so it seems to be a bug in eM Client.
How do we get eM Client to deal with this?

I can report that EPIM Pro has successfully recognised the stream of emails from “Boots” as Spam and removed it, despite telling eM Client it was Spam it just left it in my inbox.

Interesting is that I can get details on every app on the apps page: https://account.microsoft.com/privacy/apps-services
But not for eM Client! Every time I click "Details, I get this,

It seems to me that there is a problem with eM Client but how we get em Client to acknowledge that I have no idea.

I hope this is not going to end like this: Repetitive Error Messages Google timedout 100 - #17 by Dmitry_N

Unfortunately em Client has a habit of ignoring its customers, for instance the address book is not automatically white-listed as was requested many years ago.

Microsoft has confirmed that any email program must support Microsoft Modern Authentication for Outlook.com, does eM Client?

Yes eM Client has supported modern authentication for years with OAuth & OAuth2 connections with Microsoft Outlook.com Accounts.

Then what is causing this issue and what is eM Client doing to fix it?

Suggest to try the latest V10.4.5298 just updated on the release history page and see if that makes any differance.

Thanks, but I’m afraid the fix is not a fix but some kind of workaround. The https://account.microsoft.com/privacy/app-access page still returns an error when I try to see what kind of permissions eM Client has been granted.
