Yes clicking “Details” on the eM Client OAuth token in that MS privacy/app-access page “yes it does show sorry, something went wrong” for me too, but that is nothing to worry about. That won’t affect eM Client working, Thats just some Microsoft issue reading the token but its not faulty.
If you want to see what permissions it allows, “revoke it” and then “close and reopen eM Client” and you will then normally see a banner appear after a bit to click for that specific ms account which will ask you to re-authorise eM Client “and then show you the permissions” to grant a new token as in the below example screenshots. These are the default eM Client permissions below.
I have done this several time now and eM Client still comes up with an error message that it can’t find a folder.
Epim Pro has no problem.
There is something wrong with em Client.
This page keeps coming up with a message “This topic has been solved”, It hasn’t.
Notwithstanding the help that others have offered can you please
comment on the following:
1./ Your version of eMC was released 12 December 2025
2./ Tour initial post was 13 February 2026- has worked (your subsequent post)
3./ Have you attempted the install suggested by @Michal_Burger?
4./ You state that EPIM installed and works correctly on a different PC
5./ Have you attempted installing eMC on the same PC?
6./ I suggest that you shut down eMC completely & reboot your PC
7./ Then make your next attempts
I do not agree with your assertion that "There is something wrong with eMC,
We have a test laptop with the latest versions of eMC, EPIM & The Bat!
all installed and work correctly with a mix of IMAP & POP3
Perhaps you shold consider the possibility is with your PC
SO FINALLY>>>
Open Command Prompt in Admin mode: (NOT Powershell)
Copy & Paste and run:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
then when the above has finished:
Copy & Paste and run:
sfc /scannow
Reboot your system when both are complete.
They are both Microsoft utilities that can check/repair your system.
Missing or corrupt files will be replaced - could be the reason for eMC issues
You must be connected to the internet when carrying out these procedures.

I have updated to the latest version as suggested by others.
I have unauthorised/re-authorised the outlook.com account (incidentally EPIM Pro has a built in process for this).
My computer runs perfectly well, the problem is with eM Client.
I installed EPIM Pro on the PC that eM Client is on. In the last 24 hours eM Client has consistently reported errors when trying to collect email from outlook.com, EPIM Pro has collected it with no issues.
It’s pretty clear where the problem is.
AutoDiscover, AutoConfig, XML Database to configure Outlook/Hotmail/Live account could be tricky, since some account were migrated on exchange servers (since several years) or not and if your mails accounts are personal or pro (thanks Microsoft!!!).
Best IMAP/SMTP settings :
Personal account :
IMAP : outlook. office365 .com/993/SSL “Legacy for Em Client”
SMTP : smtp-mail .outlook .com/587/STARTTLS “Force use of SSL/TLS for eM Client”
Pro account :
IMAP : outlook. office365. com/993/SSL “Legacy for Em Client”
SMTP : smtp-mail .outlook.com/587/STARTTLS or smtp .office365.com/587/STARTTLS “Force use of SSL/TLS for eM Client”
Can’t post several links so delete spaces in imap/smtp fields.
Yes these are eMClient default settings, you could try to change them and reverted back if you’re not satisfy, no need to remove client from online accounts, and for the error in @Dmitry_N post it’more a browser problem (third party cookies, browsers tweaks), eMClient is not the only one which cause this error.
Sorry, but I don’t think so
Even on the latest build, which is 10.4.5298, I am getting the same error.
Out of my 12 connected apps, only two return the same error - Samsung Mail (which I haven’t been using since ages ago) and eM Client.
No problem for the don’t think so
I am using eMClient on desktop (W11), and i’ve exactly the same problem with Thunderbird an PopPeeper, in my case it’s related to my browser (Ungoogled-Chromium Woolyss), but could be others origins like you said.
