EMCLIENT.
does nto start it crashes all the time on startup..
when I go through the crash error data that emclient spits out. it apears to be related to .net 8. I have reintalled .net 8 3 times now the first time it fixed it for a week..
but then .net * is missing again.. I do have .net 9 installed for VScode ..but windows 11 update I think is removing .net 8.
plus the error says its miss a file.
IO moved away from MS outlook because it was getting too invasive..
and paid for this emclient and get no real help just try reinstalling it.
yep done that too many times. repaired it too many times..
I would reccommend uninstalling eM Client and “don’t delete the database” when asked on the uninstall wizard. Also if still exists after uninstall delete C:\Program Files (x86)\eM Client folder.
Then go to the following eM Client hidden database folder and rename it to eg: eM Client-Old. “Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\eM Client”
Then reboot your Windows and try reinstalling eM Client again and setup as new from the release history page.
If that then works and you need to restore emails from your old database, you can either do a Partial Restore from the renamed hidden database folder or Partial restore from an eM Client backup as per my post in the following link.
If that still makes no difference as you have a paid eM Client version go to the VIP support page and login and lodge a support ticket.

If you think think Windows 11 update is removing .net 8 you would need to contact Microsoft support. We carn’t help with that.
All I can personally say is that the latest August Cumulative Windows Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 24H2 works fine for me with eM Client V9.2 & V10.3.
