Is there any solution to this? This is a problem with every reply email being opened?
Still no reply or solution to this issue.
Is it happening with every opened reply on your side? If this is the case, please send us IMAP logs to [email protected], ideally with exact time when that happened and UID of that message
This can be found in the message properties dialog (context menu on that mail and select Properties).
Have sent.
Problem slowly gets worse and worse over time.
I just created an account here to add my voice, I have this same problem. I have had the same problem for at least 3 years, sometimes it will be OK (2 - 5) seconds to open with, other times it will be horrible (30 seconds plus) today it is minutes for some reason.
I have a modern laptop (Core Ultra 9, 32GB of RAM) my internet isn’t the fastest but is perfectly usable, web pages load in seconds etc.
I do have large inboxes but that is why I purchased the pro version.
I’ve tried support and been told the same generic troubleshooting steps like re-install, repair, send logs etc… Some of them work briefly but it always ends up back in the same place.
Last support call I gave up after being asked to send a profile for the 4th time, just wanted to add my voice here that it is very frustrating and has me wishing there was a better option.
Hello, you’ve sent the properties dialog screenshot, but no logs as far as I can tell. Please go to settings->Advanced and click on button Send logs. And please include time when the problem happened.
Apologies, now sent.
I just wanted to add here that I have been using a Mac for the past couple of weeks while my laptop is in for repair.
I set up the exact same accounts in Mac Mail as I have in eMclient… Everything works instantly when it comes to opening emails and replying.
This is odd as the laptop itself (M1 MacBook air with 8GB of RAM) is far less powerful than my laptop, other apps feel a little sluggish.
Upon getting my main laptop back everything else like Photoshop etc runs far faster on its Core Ultra 9 with 32GB or RAM, except for the emails, those are back to taking seconds to load even with simple replies, that feels very slow but makes me think it isn’t a hardware or setup thing, more a fundamental problem with how eMclient works… Needs fixing by the devs rather than support I believe and I have my fingers and toes crossed that they will as it really takes the shine off of what is otherwise an excellent app.
Any solution?
Hi everyone,
Despite our best efforts to add improvements and fixes to address this behavior, this issue is still a bit elusive and difficult to resolve since it does not always seem to have the same cause. We will need specific details, ideally from anyone willing to troubleshoot (since the issue can slightly differ each time), to hopefully weed it out fully and in all cases/combinations.
So if you want to troubleshoot this issue we will need:
- IMAP logs of the affected account
- UID of the original message you are replying to
- Profiling logs from the moment you open the reply and the issue happens
- Your timezone and exact date/time the issue happened.
IMAP Logs:
- Go to menu > Settings > Advanced (Win) | eM Client > Preferences > Advanced (macOS)
- Enable IMAP logs for the affected account
- Save & Close
- Restart eM Client.
Once you have a message to replicate the issue with:
- Right-click inside the original message (the one you plan to answer to) body and open Properties.
- Copy the UID number
- Start profiling via menu > Help > Profile for 10 seconds (Win) | Help > Profile for 10 seconds (macOS)
- Click Reply to replicate the issue. Note down exact time (hour:minutes) when the loading seems to be “stuck”.
- Wait for the 10 seconds and run the Profiling once more just in case.
Go back to Advanced settings and click Send logs which should create a new message with the IMAP and Profile logs attached.
Into the body ideally insert link to this forum post so we know you’re coming from here.
And then add the additional info, like the exact time of the issue and UID of the original message.
Thank you all for your cooperation.
