Emails from [email protected]

I get emails from [email protected].
The sender of these e-mails is very important to me and absolutely trusted - this is the online payment operator.

eM_Client2

E-mails from other senders are OK - their e-mail address is displayed correctly.
I am using eM-Client version 8.0.3318 (1a4785) but in version 7 it was the same.
If I view these e-mails through the website of my e-mail provider, this sender is correct.

Only eM-Client unnecessarily interferes and changes the sender, so I have trouble seeing him on the list of received emails.
Please help.

I am enclosing an eml of one of such emails, maybe it will help You identify the problem why eM-Client changes the address of this sender.

The format of the “From” line looks unusual to me. I suppose that eM Client has trouble interpreting it and then replaces it with [email protected]. I would expect a FROM line to look like this one:

From: Serwis <[email protected]>

Usually you have the name of the sender, followed by the email address within “<” and “>”.

I don’t know whether it’s up to the sender to format the message correctly or up to the developers to enable eM Client to read this format.

Thank you very much Ezrider. You are probably right.
To check it I changed and corrected line FROM in the eml file according to your suggestion.
Then I downloaded the corrected eml file to eM Client - now the sender is displayed correctly.
So, I just don’t know how to ask eM Client programmers to fix this problem :grinning:

If you have a free licence, you can only hope that they will read your message. However, I suppose that it is rather up to the sender to generate a From line that complies with the email message standard (RFC 5322).
