Deletion of mails with conversations in message overview list

I don’t think it is a good idea to delete the whole conversation when delete is clicked in the message list view on the left side. You see only the content of the most recent email and think this is what I delete, but no, the whole conversation is deleted without warning.

I got caught out by that and deleted important emails without noticing.

Delete only what you see or at least ask “Do you want to delete all 5 emails of this conversation”?

How NOT to delete sent mail?

It really depends on what you want to do. To delete a conversation, select it, and click on the delete icon, toolbar button or keyboard Del key. That will delete the whole conversation, so all the messages in the conversation regardless of what folders they are in.
