Deleted e-mails not synchroniing between eM Client MacOS and iOS

I have eM Client (10.4.4867) on MacOS Ventura and eM Client (10.4.5188) on iOS 26.3.1 (a). When I delete e-mails on the Mac client in an account using Exchange Web Services, the e-mails still appear in the iOS client. I can manually delete them from the iOS version so the inboxes match but should that be necessary? Also when I delete messages in the desktop version, the don’t appear in the trash in the iOS version. If I delete messages in the iOS version that were already deleted in the desktop version, they don’t appear in the trash in the desktop version.

I am receiving the same e-mails in both versions. Pulling down on the inbox screen to force synchronization does not change anything.

I also have a personal outlook.com account that syncs perfectly.

In the desktop version settings in General, Exchange Web Services is checked. Also checked Include when sending/receiving e-mails. Under Exchange Web Services, Automatically download messages… is checked with Scope set to Full messages with attachments.

Any idea why these folders are not synchronizing?

Could be your not waiting long enough.

How long are you waiting in the iOS app after opening it ? as the mob app has to first check all your mail folders online to see whats changed from the desktop, and then it will update the same in the iOS mail folders.

eg: Using the latest iOS mob app V10.4.4899 takes for me personally aprox 1-2 mins to sync changes from the server with 4 large IMAP accounts with 100’s of mail folders in each to check

You can press in the iOS app “Menu / Settings / Show Operations” to see what’s still synching.

If the emails are still not showing deleted in the iOS app after a few minutes or so, then “dblcheck online those emails are actually deleted via your webmail”.

Waiting weeks. I can delete an e-mail in the desktop app and it will still be in the iOS app weeks later.

On the other hand, I can sit with my phone open to my Outlook.com account and delete an e-mail from that account in the desktop version. The e-mail deletes immediately on the iOS device.

Then if the deleted emails are still showing in the iOS app even after weeks and you are giving the app time to sync the server changes, and nothing showing in Show Operations, and the deleted emails are definitely not on the mail server end, then sounds like either an OS glitch or other resident app possibly interfering, or the account is possibly corrupted in the app in some way, or the app cache or data might have become corrupted and is not synching new server data.

So first “if you haven’t already tried” suggest to shutdown and power off your iPhone and then power back on incase it’s an OS glitch or other resident background program interfering.

Sometimes eg: optionally installed iOS firewall / security programs or optionally installed antivirus programs or vpns can interfere with mob app mail synching. So if you have anything like that optionally installed on your mobile “other than the default iOS stuff” then try completely disabling those to test incase of interference.

If power cycling your mobile makes no difference and you have no optionally installed programs like the above, then next suggest to go to Menu / Settings / Accounts and “remove and readd the account” incase its a corrupted account in the app.

If removing and readding the account still makes no difference, then suggest to next “uninstall and reinstall the iOS app” completely and reset up via the QR Export Mac desktop menu and see if that fixes it to rule out if it’s an app cache problem.

If resetting up the app as new via the QR Export Mac desktop option makes no difference, then try with “cell data only” and not wifi “if you haven’t already tried” to see if that makes any difference just to rule out if it’s a Wifi connection issue.

Or even try the app synching “using a different private or public Internet wifi connection outside your house” and see if that makes any difference.

iOS 26.3.1 (a)

Apart from the above try upgrading to the latest iOS 26.4 just officially out and see if that makes any difference if you haven’t already tried.

Did all those things. As I said, this ONLY happens with my Exchange Web Services account. I have three other accounts and ALL of them sync properly. I can sit at the desktop, delete e-mails, and watch them disappear on my phone. This is strictly an Exchange Web Services problem. Do you have an Exchange Web Services account? Do you your inbox and deleted folders sync properly?

Ok if you say its only with Exchange problem and you already have the latest mobile app V10.4.5188, then you would need your EWS account mobile logs investigated.
