Change sender category

Continuing the discussion from Inbox Categories | EMclient Beta10:

If you have a sender showing up in (for example) the Promotions tab and you want that sender in your Primary tab, hold ‘Shift’ then click and drag the sender’s name to the category tabs bar at the top. A box will drop down showing a list of categories. Select “No Category” and that sender’s messages will all move to the Primary tab.

Nothing happens for me on Mac when I shift drag the sender’s name to the category bar.

There is a small rectangle when I shift-drag to ‘Primary’ from an ‘Other’ categorized message, but when I release the drag, the rectangle just goes back to the sender’s name.

Right clicking on the category bar to try to figure out whether I’m having issues because I drag a Gmail category to a non-Gmail category, I got even more confused. The same category names at different levels of nesting. I’m utterly confused with this feature.

Drag the email “Subject” to the Category tab you want and then let your mouse go. A popup confirmation popup box will then appear to ask if you want that senders email to go to that category in future.

Alternatively “Right click on the email subject” and select “Category” on the dropdown menu and then click the category you want. You will then see the same popup confirmation appear for that senders future emails.

You only right click on the category tabs “to enable or disable the various category tabs”.

You can also enable or disable category tabs via “Menu / Settings / (Preferences) / Mail / Categories”.
