Change background of FLAGGED messages in message list

When I mark an email as FLAGGED I want it to stand out.

By default, messages marked FLAGGED have a tiny flag on the left, but this is not sufficient.
I would like to change the background color of the entire message list entry for FLAGGED messages.

What html or css file can I modify to obtain this functionality?

You could try changing the background colour in the Theme Editor. See the following thread.
