I only see 993 when I go to IMAP, no showing of Port 143,
So you then need to then change the IMAP Tab Port number to 143 (instead of 993), and change the IMAP Security Policy to “Use SSL/TLS if available” and “Save Accounts”.
I only see 465 when I go to SMTP, no showing of Port 587.
If your SMTP tab is already set to Port 465 and “Use SSL/TLS on special port (legacy)” , then that’s already correct and nothing to change in that tab.
If your IMAP and SMTP Tabs already have the mail server address as securemail25.carrier.com , then you don’t need to change that.
Now if you try that and you still get “Authentication failed”, then it could be eg: “your mailbox might be now using an APP Password instead of your normal password”, or “your mailbox might need to enable access for a third party mail client”.
So you will need to check those with your Mailbox Technical Support staff if you are still getting Authenticating problems and ask them those questions.
OK so I changed the IMAP Tab Port to 143, all the rest of the settings you mentioned were already set to what you advised. When I try to go to my emails a message come up that says,
[SMTP] SMTP Server doesn’t support authentication.
You would then need to re-contact your mailbox technical support and tell then you are getting that SMTP error message and "tell them you are using the SMTP Server address securemail25.carrier.com ,and SMTP Port 465 with Security Policy Use SSL/TLS on special port (legacy) , and tell them you are using eM Client mailer so they can do their own tests their end.
Well we seem to have this fixed.except the emails are not in the right order.
Great u finally got your email working.
Can you tell me how to have them come in as I receive them?
At the top of the Inbox column, you will see a small text where “you can click on that” to change the order of the Inbox. See example screenshots below.
OK I guess we’re not quite there yet. When I was on the phone with consolidated I had my girlfriend send me an email. It didn’t come through until I x-ed out of it and turned my email back on, then I got it. That was at 2:10 and I thought it was fixed. Since then I have gotten two emails on my phone. One from someone else and yours but not on my computer. As far as getting my emails in the most recent order are you saying click on filter in the upper right hand corner? When I do that and then click on Sort it comes up with check marks by Descending and Received. Now almost 5 pm and no new emails on my computer. The ones before the one I got at 2:10 show Sat 4:33 and Thu 5:22. I know that’s not right as I get about a dozen emails a day.

Yes in my eM Client V10 Categories enabled view, i also have in the “Filter” icon at the top right “Sort” and select “Descending” and “Received” as in the below example screenshot as you have done.
So if you have eM Client V10 and are not seeing new emails in your “Primary” Inbox view “and you have Inbox Categories enabled like i do in the below screenshot” with a eg: Primary Tab, Promotions Tab, & Social Tab" or other different Category Tabs, then click on whatever other Tabs you see on the right of the Primary tab as your new emails could be in there. If the missing new emails are then in other Category Tabs, then see this thread link on how to move them back to your Primary Inbox Tab.
Now "if you don’t have eM Client V10 with Category Tabs enabled “and all your new email goes directly in the One Inbox folder” like it did in eM Client V9, and you have Sort by Descending and Received enabled, then could be there is just some eg: delay receiving your mail from your mail server. I would then suggest to go online to your mailbox webmail page via a browser and see if any other new emails are showing there.
The only place I see the word Primary is right above where it says From on the top of my emails and when I click on it it doesn’t do anything.
Do you see any other Tabs “on the right of the Primary Tab” called either eg: Promotions, Social, Updates, Other etc ?
“If you don’t have any other Tabs” on the right of the Primary Tab “and all your new email goes directly in the One Inbox folder” like it did in eM Client V9, and you have Sort by Descending and Received enabled, then could be there is just some eg: delay receiving your mail from your mail server. I would then suggest to go online to your mailbox webmail page via a browser and see if any other new emails are showing there.
If there is then new mail showing online in your webmail via a browser, but not in your eM Client Primary inbox, then try clicking Refresh at the top left of eM Client.
I’ve got 9 emails on webmail since the one I got at 2:10 on eM Client. I tried Refresh with no results. Mine looks like this. Primary Other Select Filter

Sounds like then you have V10 Categories enabled being you mentioned “Other”.
Click on the word “Other” on the right of the Primary tab and see if the 9 new emails are in that Tab ?
If the missing new emails are then in the “Other Category Tab”, then see this thread link on how to move them back to your Primary Inbox Tab.
