Hmm, then something’s amiss. When I start typing the name, it comes up with FOUR suggestions (4 different email addresses). Yet only ONE of them appears in the Recipients History. Of the other 3, only ONE is in the address book. So it must be storing them elsewhere. So at the very least, ONE should’ve had an X and it does not.
Yes, but you said if it’s in the recipients history it will have an X. NONE of the four have an X and one of them is most definitely in the recipients history.
And how does the Sent items work?
The setting says:
Use all recipients form Sent folders for suggestion
Implying that if you uncheck that item, it will no longer use Sent folder for suggestion.
So if you are correct, and only items without an X are coming from Sent items, then if you uncheck that feature, it should no longer show those as suggestions, yes?
Well, if the same address is in more than one place, we don’t display them all. One is enough. So if you don’t see an X, then it is not coming from the recipients history.
Not implied; it is explicit. So yes, if you untick that option and click on Save & Close, you will not be offered suggestions from the Sent folders.
Not necessarily. Items without an X come from either Contacts or Sent folders.
