What is the difference between “AI Add-on” and “Extra AI Credits”?

AI is included only with a subscription license.
For all other licenses, you will need to purchase an AI addon if you want to use that function. It is a monthly subscription which allows you to generate about 300k words using the AI. It is unlikely, but if you exceed that in a month, you can purchase extra AI credits for another 300k words.

No, AI is not dependant on support.
One-time payment and Free licenses. These don’t include AI, but you can purchase the AI Add-on subscription if you want to use it.
Subscription licenses. These do include AI in the subscription you are already paying.
