Account settings accesability

Hello. Would it be possible that in Accounts>settings mode that this client would allow people to show passwords. I am on a personal computer in my den alone and do not need to hide a password.

Please give us a button choice to show passwords on those account pages such as MAP and the others.

Thank you

See the following thread link.

I’m trying to save my settings in case I have to reload and the password is under asterisks and I’m having trouble finding my isp password. The password field does not have to be hidden from the only user in the house and we should have a choice to see what we are typing. That’s what I’m referring to, not recovering any passwords and not a emclient password.

It’s in the network settings that WE fill out.

If you want to save eM Client Settings “including the email account password” incase something goes wrong, just use the built in eM Client backup using either the Automatic Periodic Backup via “Menu / Settings (Preferences) / General / Backup” or regularly backup via “Menu / Backup”.

Then if anything goes wrong, just restore your most recent dated backup via “Menu / File / Restore” and you won’t then need to enter any account email passwords etc.

The passwords are hidden once you enter them as you said in asterisks for Privacy reasons. So the backup and restore is what I’d recommend to avoid worrying about that.

Apart from that “if you don’t know what your account email password is”, and you can’t find it any other way like in a browser password manager or other password manager, then recommend you can go into your webmail via a browser and reset your account email password. Alternatively contact your mailbox technical support and they may be able to resend your current one to you.
