Is it possible to sync eM Client with Zimbra’s global address list?

Hi Jorge, are you using Zimbra over EWS or over IMAP along with CalDAV/CardDAV services?
What version of eM Client are you currently using on your computer, can you check for the exact version number in Help > About?

Hi Paul, I’m using IMAP, and my Zimbra server version is the “Zimbra Collaboration Open Source Edition” 8.04
The version of eM Client is 6.0.21040.0

Hi Jorge, are you using CardDAV for contacts synchronization?

Can you please try to setup the CardDAV address in your account settings according to this format:

http://<mailservername>.com/dav/<username>/contacts/</username></mailservername>

Paul,

I can get all my contacts of my address list from Zimbra. What I can not get is the global address list (GAL), which contains all internal mailboxes.

As the support said. use the url against galsync-user in zimbra:
http://.com/dav…

Problems with the above. you get all aliases when you create a new email. not only the primary. not sure how one can only display the primary adress of a user. and distribution lists is searchable, but you can’t see who is member of it.

Some rambling:
 I wish emclient supportet zimbra soap. That way emclient could fetch calender,  calender sharing, GAL, emails, personal contacts directly via https/http…

 Another option is EWS. zimbra pays Microsoft for that support. zimbra soap would be a  better bet. however even if EWS is supportet on zimbra and Emclient, it dosent work.
