Why Is My Personal E-Mail Being Blacklisted By My Own E-Mail Accounts?

All of a sudden, when I go to e-mail myself a note FROM my primary e-mail to EITHER my primary OR my secondary e-mail (I.e., as a reminder note to myself), both my primary email account ([email protected]) and secondary e-mail account ([email protected]) is all of a sudden being “flagged” as SPAM in BOTH accounts, and subsequently ends up in the JUNK FOLDER?

I’ve even removed the FLAG from each account, but these e-mails are still being marked as JUNK.
I’ve never experienced this in the past.

Please advise, thank you.

For IMAP/ Exchange & iCloud type accounts, this is usually related to your actual mailbox online settings which may have changed recently. So eMClient then inturn just reflects that change.

So check your mailbox online filters & rules etc.

Also do a test. Close eM Client and go online to both these specific mailboxes via your webmail and send yourself an email and see if they arrive in your inbox or the junk mail folder online.

If the email then “also shows in the junk folder online”, you definitely know the problem is a filter or rule of some sort in your online mailbox. If you cannot find what’s causing it online, contact your mailbox technical support for help.

However if the email “shows in your inbox online ok” but when you re-open eM Client it then only shows in the junk mail folder, then there must be a rule setup in eM Client automatically moving it after it arrives in your inbox.

Go to “Menu / Rules” and there is a drop-down menu at the top where you can select either Local Rules or your Server rules to check for any rules setup to automatically move these specific emails to junk. Dblclick any rules to open them.

Note: If you cannot find any local or server specific rules setup, “untick all the boxes” in Local Rules and save and close Rules. Then send yourself emails again in eM Client to test if fixed.
