whether a manual to version 8 will appear in the near future
I don’t expect there will be anything soon. 
The Help File (F1) covers the basics of version 7, although there are still some features in version 7 that are not even mentioned there.
But I read somewhere that it was being updated for version 8. My observation, however, is that every time they promise that, then there is a push for the next release, and the documentation gets neglected again.
The Blog covers some newer features, or at least mentions them.
I agree, unfortunately!
However, there are many high school/college students that look for internships. eM Client should take advantage of that pool of talent!
