I’ve been using emClient for years. I brought my computer in for repair and have had to redownload it. Everything online is telling me to go to the menu in the top right, click Help, then click License. License is NOT an option in the Help menu. Where do I enter my registration key?
If you don’t see the License option, that means you have the Windows Store version installed where you pay Microsoft a monthly subscription, and “you need to install the eM Client website version instead” to then activate your license.
So first backup your current eM Client via “Menu / Backup”. You can see when the backup is complete in Show Operations via the dropdown on the right of Refresh. Then uninstall eM Client and delete the database.
Then reinstall the same or later version via the release history page and “skip the initial setup” and restore your backup via “Menu / File / Restore”. Then go to “Menu / Help / License” & enter your key.
