Hi! I guess there will be some more questions like this, as Postbox users will be considering what to do when Postbox has been acquired.
In Postbox you use Topics (or Tagging). A topic is a type of tag for marking messages so you can quickly get to them when you need them. A Topic can be anything — a project, important client, event, a priority, or anything else that makes sense to you.
It´s not folders and it´s not similar to ie “Gmail Labels”. It is an additional way to filter emails.
I thought it might be “Categories” but I´m not able to create my own categories so that is probably not the way to do it.

eM Client Tags are designed to do that, where you initially set them up via “Menu / Tags” (Pc) or “Tools / Tags” (Mac).
So you can prioritise any messages with coloured tags of your choice. The tags will then appear “on the left side of eM Client near the top” as in the example eM Client screenshots below.
Once your Tags are setup, you can Tag and email via either “clicking on the Subject or Body” and then “clicking Tag on the Toolbar” along the top once customised via right clicking the toolbar.
Or you can Tag by clicking the small “Add Tag” icon at the top right of the body of the email,
Or you can tag via “right clicking the Subject or Body” and then “clicking Tag on the dropdown menu” that appears.
Thank you!
When I try to add a TAG to an email, I can see all the Gmail Labels as well, which makes things a bit confusing for me. I know the system with folders and Gmail Labels is a bit unique, but is there any way to remove Gmail Labels from the list of tags when I’m adding a TAG to a certain email?

First i would suggest for a Gmail account with tags is to go to “Menu / Accounts” and click the “IMAP” tab along the top and at the bottom, “remove the checkbox” marked “Show random colours for tags downloaded from server” as per the below screenshot. Then save accounts.
Then just “click on any of the existing Local Tags” and click “Edit” and name them whatever you like and select whatever tag colour you like.
The only Local Tag “you need to keep the same name” for a Gmail account is the “Important” tag as that matches the Gmail Important Tag online in your account at the top left. You can however change the colour of the important tag. Just don’t rename or delete it.
Then once you have edited and added your own custom local tags, then drag them up and down in any order you like either via the Tag Editor or in the Left Side Panel after saving and closing tags.

When you add a tag “to remove a tag at the same time”, just “click uncheck the tag you don’t want”. Or uncheck the tag you don’t want anytime at the top right of the email.
If you mean “can you disable showing the Gmail labels in Tags” so it only shows Local Tags, I don’t know how to do that. However someone else on this free community forum might know.
