What does "paint format" do? I see it in the toolbar while composing messages, but don't know what it does

I see it in the toolbar while composing messages, but don’t know what it does.
I was hoping it would be  a way to do text highlighting… but doesn’t appear to be so.
I read other forum posts that highlighting enhancement is to come in a future release.

Hi Susan, “Paint Format” button is a standard Microsoft feature that can be found in a number of other applications just as well as in eM Client, more information about how to use this button can be found here: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/word-help/use-format-painter-HP001168426.aspx

Essentially, you can copy formatting of a part of your text and apply this formatting on other part of your unformatted text.

Hope this helps,
Paul.

Thanks for the explanation.  I don’t see the “paintbrush” icon so I didn’t think it was working.
It does work though.

I’m glad it works, please let us know if you come across any other issues or questions, we’ll be happy to help.

Thank you,
Paul.

Hi Paul

I select the text with the style that I want and I select the Paintbrush icon but it does not activate, i.e. I cannot apply the style to other text.

I’m using the same method as I do in MS Word.
