I thought using in account the list “Show in New Window” would keep my personal email from my work email. It does. However, I messed up big-time today and sent an important work email from my personal email address. It doesn’t look professional, confuses clients with what is my correct email address, and any future correspondence coming as replies will go to the wrong mailbox.
I’m not sure color borders would help. The account name and avatar on the window border would help. What would help is being able to separate or label email addresses into a personal list and a work list (or other labels) and if there is a mismatch between the sender’s email and the associated contact list, there would be a warning.
What other scheme would work? How do other email clients handle this? I can’t remember if it was PostBox or another client, but there was a warning if I sent a message to certain email addresses or to certain domains from the wrong sender (mine) address. That saved me from a serious mistake. I don’t mind adding client’s domains and addresses to a list.
