Version 8 wont download and hanging on a sent message

I get the red triangle at top and bottom. “operations” folder keeps showing that a basic email (not with an attachment) needs to be sent. I keep sending and It is sending and goes to sent folder but it’s like if I cant get past this endless loop, then the download of new emails won’t ever begin.

This happens a lot on 8; dont remember it on 7.

Go to Menu > Settings > General and make sure Show Local Folders is selected.

Go to the Local Folder Outbox and see if the message is there. If it is, delete it.

The red triangle usually means a connection issue. Does hovering over the chevron not give any information?
