I have installed this version.
Before I was using version 9 without any problems with Google.
Now I have this error.
I have tried deleting the old Google account and recreating it but I can’t get over this point.
Can anyone help me?
Thank you very much.
Try setting a different browser as your default and then reboot your computer and try again.
Thank you for your response.
I have tried this, but the result is the same.
What browsers did you try as the default ? Have you tried Chrome, Edge, Vivaldi, Opera ?
Also do you have any optional firewall / security programs etc monitoring your browser ? If you do try temporarily completly disable those to test incase of any interference with the browser.
Also try “resetting your browser’s to default” in the browser settings, as sometimes that can be related to disabled options within the browsers.
See the following Google Support page on the subject for help with Chromium browsers.
Thank you for your response.
I use Chrome as default. I have also tried switching to Edge, but with the same result.
I have disabled the windows 11 firewall, but nothing has changed either.
In Chrome I am logged in to Google with no problem and in Edge as well.
I have tried to log out and log back in and all without problem in both Chrome and Edge.
I use Chrome as default. I have also tried switching to Edge, but with the same result.
I have disabled the windows 11 firewall, but nothing has changed either.
Ok the Window 11 default firewall won’t interfere, only sometimes optional third party ones…
So as you have tried already Chrome and Edge, have you tried resetting them to defaults ?
Also go to the “help / about” menu on both browsers where it checks for the latest update and make sure they are up to date.
I’ve tried updating to the latest version and restoring the factory settings, but I keep getting the same error in Google’s identification.
With previous versions I never had any problems…
Thanks for your help.
Ok sorry I’m out of ideas. Hopefully another forum member can assist you further.
Note: If you have a current eM Client Pro 9 active subscription or you have just purchased eM Client V10, then go to the following VIP support page, where you can login at the top left and an assigned engineer will assist you.
Ok. Thank you very much for your help.
Hello again:
I have tried installing emclient on another Windows 10 computer and everything perfect, with the same Google account. But then I reinstalled it again on the new computer with Windows 11 and I still get the same error.
I also installed Firefox with a clean install and set it as default, but all the same.
What a madness. No one has had similar problems with Windows 11?
Thanks.
As it then works ok on your Windows 10 computer but not your Windows 11 computer and you have tried all different browsers and nothing appears to be running blocking it connecting to Google, then sounds like you have some issue with that Windows or something installed on it is causing the problem.
You might need to reset that Windows like new as per the following Microsoft instructions where you can choose to keep all your files etc.
Hello:
I have done some tests.
I created another user on the same computer with W11 and installed EmClient. It worked fine, opening a large Edge window and logging in correctly.
I then logged into W11 with the other local account that is giving me problems and uninstalled all the browsers I have (Chrome, Edge, Firefox). I haven’t left any of them.
Surprisingly, after uninstalling them, I open EmClient and when I try to authenticate the Google account, the same small window that gives me the errors opens again.
Does EmClient have its own browser?
I think that’s where I may have the problem.
Thank you.
No eM Client doesn’t have its own browser. it uses your default os browser.
I created another user on the same computer with W11 and installed EmClient. It worked fine, opening a large Edge window and logging in correctly.
As its works with a new profile, sounds like then you have a user profile problem probably somewhere in your eg: “User profile hidden folders” where the browsers user data is kept.
Google Chrome Browser user data
C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data
Microsoft Edge Browser user data
C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data
I would suggest to maybe just “go with the new profile” and “copy your existing data from the original profile to your new profile”. Probably quicker than trying to figure out what’s wrong with the original one. Good luck.
