Version 10.4.4209 (d96494b) imap issue?

my environment:

win11
em-client vers. 10.4.4209 (d96494b) clean install
gmail-account
live (outlook) account

problem:

em-client does’nt sync mails from google imap-server
sync-icon turns and turns and turns … but nothing is synced from the server
log-file shows no errors

i’m using em-clients standard settings for my [email protected] account

contacts and calender appear to be synchronized

my [email protected] account also appears to be synchronized ok.


deleting and re-defining my gmail-account within em-client did not help


using windows-mail (outlook new) using same accounts works without problems


Thank you for the suggestions on how to fix this problem that prevents the use of the EM client.

Could be your Gmail account is still synching depending on the size of your online mailbox.

So click on your Gmail account “All Mail” folder, and then click the drop-down on the right of Refresh and click “Show Operations”. Then see if the Gmail account is still synching.

meanwhile em-client syncs mails also – but:

watching the sync-action i can see very very slow speed

my inbox contains 10 mails, may sentbox is 3 mails

so the number of mails should not be the reason for that bad performance

Ok could possibly be the wrong Gmail IMAP settings. Go to “Menu / Accounts” and click the “IMAP” tab under your Gmail account and see if you have the same server settings as per below.

If you already have the same IMAP Server settings and removing and re-adding your Gmail account via the automatic account wizard made no difference, and your download speed is fast, then if your email is taking ages to arrive, then “you might possibly have a resident program running in the background” slowing the mail arriving.

So if you have an eg: optionally installed firewall / security program or optionally installed antivirus program or vpn “other than what comes default with your os” then try completely disabling those to test incase of interference.

the above settings are the same as they are in my em-client for the imap-server - standard settings from the automatic account wizzard

my win11 is a ‘clean’ installation without special firewalls and so on and there are no resident programms running

i used all previous versions of em-client without any problems - they occur after update to actual version…

and problem is the same on two different (win11) pc’s…

for test reason i defined a second mail-account - also gmail-imap – and it works fine!

so ist seems that there is something wrong with my account at google ???
