Verizon change of account settings

This problem has been ongoing for almost a year. It has to do with port settings and the host POP and SMTP addresses. Pretty simple. Problem: It doesn’t work. I am currently using the old settings issued by Verizon, but when I change to the new settings I get an error message. I then check my verizon account via WebMail and the messages are on the Verizon server; however they don’t connect or download to emclient with the new settings. Verizon says it’s your problem. It may be your problem but if isn’t fixed within the next month or so I don’t get email through that account so NOW if becomes MY problem. Can we get this fixed so I don’t have to install another email client? Thanks.
