After installing ver 10, the mail that was in one account was also in my second account. So all my mails were doubled. When i deleted from one account it was also deleted from the other account!!! Has anyone else had this issue please.
Thats happened due eg: when you upgraded to V10, “each account has to re-authenticate” where sounds like you accidentally or inadvertently “clicked on the same account name / email address for both” (when the authentication part happened) so then got duplicate mail etc.
So there is two ways to fix that.
1). If they are both IMAP, Exchange, Office 365 or iCloud (Non POP) accounts, go to “Menu / Accounts” just “remove one of the accounts” and then readd the other email account using the automatic account wizard at the top and “make sure to select / allow your other email address” near the end of the account setup wizard.
2). Alternatively “if you have been making regular eM Client backups” either automatically via the Settings or manually via “Menu / Backup” and have a recent dated backup.zip file in your “Documents / eM Client” folder prior to upgrading to V10, then uninstall V10 and “delete the database when asked on the uninstall wizard”.
Then re-download “whatever version of eM Client you had prior” from the release history page and reinstall. Then open eM Client and “skip the setup wizard” and restore your recent backup via “Menu / File / Restore”. Then once restored, then close eM Client and download the latest V10 from the release history page and install the upgrade.
Then open eM Client and when you see the accounts authentication window appear, “make sure not to choose the same account” for the second account which then will fix the problem.
