When syncing groups from hotmail/outlook.com “People” / address book they show as individual contacts with the category set to the group name, they do not appear as a group / distribution list. New groups / distribution lists created under v6 client sync back to outlook.com “people” as a normal user / contact - if the outlook.com connection is removed and re-added the group / distribution list is then sync’d to v6 client as a normal contact not a group / distribution list.
Hi, if you are using activesync then unfortunately this will be normal behaviour as ActiveSync protocol cant work with distribution lists at all.
