Regretting the v10 update. Ran v9 without any issues on a Win11 machine. V10 is not crashing on me, but everything with my emails is super slow now, from scrolling thru emails, to scrolling within emails. It has gotten painfully slow to use. System resource usage is among the highest from everything running. Nothing else has changed.
Could be eM Client V10 is still busy eg: Categorising all your various folder emails and caching emails in the background, so then you will find it slow scrolling through and reading emails etc until that’s fully completed.
So click the drop down arrow on the right of Refresh at the top left and click “Show Operations” and see if eM Client is still processing any emails etc.
Now if it’s not doing anything after sometime, then could be to do with eg: Harddisk loading speed and also how much available ram you have. Eg: SSD 2.5 drives or M2 type ssd drives will load things much faster than older Mechanical type drives depending on what you have already installed. Also 8GB or more of ram will also load things much faster as well.
Now if you already have an eg; SSD 2.5 type drive or M2 type ssd drive or Other ssd type drive, and already have 8GB or more of Ram, then other things that can cause slow loading are eg: Video drivers, where “if the computer doesn’t have the right video driver installed” that can then be very slow updating gui graphics in programs. So check you have the correct and latest video driver installed for your specific computer. As sometimes I’ve seen slow mail clients scrolling and slow reading etc where eg: Windows automatically installed just a basic vga driver or other wrong video driver and then everything was a snails pace as a result.
Now if your video drivers are already the correct one and is the latest video driver version, then “if all your previous emails in eM Client are also very slow to read and scroll as well as new emails” then I would then try uninstalling and reinstalling eM Client and see if that fixes it. As it could be then possibly something went wrong when eM Client V10 updated. So try uninstalling and reinstalling eM Client in Windows, and “don’t delete the database” when asked on the uninstall wizard. Then download the latest V10 from the release history page and try reinstalling it again.
Thanks @Cyberzork…
Still seeing very slow performance from v10. I have a 1TB Samsung EVO SSD, and I also have 12 Gb of RAM. Video drivers are fine. I also tried reinstalling v10, and I still have bad lag just scrolling thru the emails, and more lag as I scroll down through an individual email. Is there a way to revert back to v9. No such issues were seen w v9.

Ok try then the latest eM Client 10.0.3447 update via the release history page (if you haven’t already) just released recently and see if that fixes the issue. Close eM Client before updating.

Yes if you want to downgrade back to V9 see the below eM Client support link.
If it is possible, please make a profiling report so we can analyze it. We don’t see a lot of such reports, in general v. 10 is quicker than v. 9. You can make the profiling report in Menu->Help->Profile for 10 seconds. The profile files are created in AppData->Roaming->eM Client->Logs. These profiling files might help us to diagnose and resolve your issues.
