V10 Anyone else finding search folders frequently crash the program?

I’ve created five so far of which three work and the remaining two immediately crash the program upon mouse hover e.g. from here:

lower the pointer.

Since I’m trialling the program and search folders are essential, it would be useful to know any detail about this.

Thanks.

PS To delete a crashy folder, click on a non-crashy one (if you have one) then Up/Down Arrow to the crashy one, then tap Delete.

PPS Once, a crashy folder was made uncrashy bv opening Properties (click on a non-crashy one (if you have one) then Up/Down Arrow to the crashy one, then click Properties), changing a value and then restoring it.

(The forum is preventing me editing my post above.)

PPPS This happens every time on a stacked search folder i.e. a search folder where “Folder:” is another search folder e.g.

and possibly on no non-stacked search folder.

I don’t get any Search folder crashing like that on mouse hover etc in Windows 10 or 11 with all the latest OS patches, so could be due to Windows 7 OS is outdated now, or possibly something running on your Windows startup.

So suggest first to try “disabling all non OS user startup related programs on bootup” and failing that upgrade to Windows 10 or 11 and then see if the problem still happens or if it fixes it.

As I advised in one of your other threads, Windows 7 is no longer supported by eM Client or Microsoft. So could be this issue might be due to something missing in the OS that is needed for V10 eM Client. Only way to know is to upgrade.

On a stacked search folder?

Untrue. https://www.emclient.com/faq-for-admins “MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS * Windows 7 or higher”

On a stacked search folder?

No crashing for me.

“MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS * Windows 7 or higher.

Yes you can install V10 on Windows 7, but that doesn’t mean “all the features of the latest eM Client versions will work correctly”.

Sadly no version will guarantee that.

i can only advise then “apart from upgrading your Windows OS”, to also look at purchasing the program if you haven’t already, where you “then will have official VIP support for 12 months” who can then assist you with this or anything else.

Thanks but purchasing makes no difference since I’m within the one-month trial.
