I have a desktop and a laptop running Windows 11. Outlook appears to be veering towards cloud only operation and I want to keep using a local IMAP client so I have switched to eMClient on them both. I simply fetched it from the Store and both copies are working fine, but now I look into it there is a curious difference between the licensing advertised on the eMClient website and the subscription offered within the app. I get that the non-Store version is a little ahead and that its Personal subscription has replaced Pro; but the “Pro” subscription offered by the Store is suspiciously cheap by comparison. I get the impression that it may be for one machine only. Is that correct? If I want to run with the same features on both machines do I need to switch to the non-Store version?

Yes as far as I’m aware, the Windows Store version is only for one computer / device. If that’s not correct someone will update this thread.
So if you want to run eM Client on more than one device with the full features and you use eM Client for personal use (non business), then your best option is to “purchase the Personal version” via the eM Client website which allows you to install eM Client on up to 3 computers / devices.

In the end, I did ask [email protected]. It turns out that the Microsoft Store version license is good for up to five devices which is plenty for me.
