With all the problems being reported in the forums, the absence of a version update in 16 days is surprising.
This release was exceptionally poor.
It was “poor” as far as what I have been reading. At the risk of jinxing myself, I have not encountered ANY issues as described in these forums.

@ldreeder Do you use POP3 or IMAP in your setup? Just a curiosity question.
@sunriseal I use IMAP on all 13 of my accounts (3 Google, 1 yahoo, the other 9 from a single ISP where I own and host the domains)
For me it’s a real disaster.
Impossible to download with my gmail account. (It’s a very big account with more than 49gb)

Thanks… I use only POP3, so I was curious to see if this was why I was not encountering any of the issues I see posted.
It is very disappointing to not hear anything from em Client since the last update 17 days ago, other than their suggestion to try temporarily stopping your AV to see if that helps.
Have you tried opening a support ticket, since they appear to be avoiding these forums?
