Updated to Ver 10 today and lost about 50 of today's Gmails!

I updated eM Client today from ver 9.2.2258 to the latest 10.0.3115.0 on one machine.
There are only three Gmail emails now showing for today in my Inbox on the new Ver 10.
But on another machine still running ver 9 there are the correct number of about 50 Gmail emails that I received today !
Further, I have found folders for this main Gmail account are missing in the new version 10 as well!

During the update, you will have been asked if you want to use categories.

If you chose to do that, some of your messages will be in other category tabs in the Inbox.

If you can’t see all of your folders, look inside the More folder and see if they are there.

I followed the authentication of the accounts without realising catagories Primary, Promotions, Social had been inserted into the new version! I don’t know what they are!!! Or think I want them! They seem arbitary! But moving across the three I even realised the three catagories still didn’t contain all my missing aprox. 50 to 60 Gmails!!! THis version 10 seems an incredible mess!!! Should I returen to version 9?

I think the way the new Categories feature arbitrarily assigns categories is very confusing.

Try turning Categories off:
Settings > Mail > Categories then untick Show categories
See if that resolves your issue.

Thank you. I have gone into Gmail in a browser and unticked all the Catagories. However the mess still prevails! Somehow one Gmail account has got mixed with another.
There appears to be a total mess on that machine I have 10 installed on!!!
I am considering a total uninstall of 10 on that machine. Maybe a reinatall of 10 or go back to the old 9
I still have a Ver 9 running on another machine and thankfully it appears to be working intact with all my accounts. So the mess is only on the machine upgraded to Ver 10!
I may wait to see what Garry says I should do.

You don’t need to go into your online Google account and disable categories. That won’t affect eM Client anyway as it’s already been setup with Categories.

So you can either do what @John_A advised by “going into eM Client Settings” and disabling Categories if you don’t want any of them.

You can also “right click” above Categories and disable what you don’t want as well that way.

Or

If you don’t use eM Client local folders and only have Google IMAP accounts or other Non POP accounts, (as you advised your accounts seem to be messed up), then you could alternatively uninstall eM Client and delete the database.

Then install V10 as new and “choose the last option” as in @Gary screenshot to “Disable Categories” on the initial setup screen. Then whatever Google Mail accounts you have online, will be setup exactly the same in eM Client.

Normally upgrading or installing to V10 wouldn’t change anything in your mail accounts or mail folders. That’s very unusual that happened.

Yes thank you I understand now!
I admit I was a little hasty with the 9 to 10 upgrade!
I had never known or bothered with Cataogories before.
I do support other eM C users who are less experienced than me.
And think this Welcome window to 10 may be confusing to some!

What I did was completely uninstall eM C 10 and then reinstall it.
I then imported all my saved Exported Settings and all is working fine now in the new eM C Ver 10!
