I was prompted to update and began the process. Then I received a message that basically said the installation package ‘setup(1).msi’ couldn’t be found.

The older version of eM Client couldn’t be removed. Contact support.
Can someone help?

Uninstall eM Client, making sure NOT to delete the database folder when asked. That will ensure all your data and settings are there later.

If it exists, delete the C:\Program Files (x86)\eM Client folder.

Download and install the latest version from here: https://www.emclient.com/dist/v8.2.1659/setup.msi

Restart eM Client.
Ran into the same problem when attempting to uninstall.
“The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.”
This is an issue with your OS.

Thanks Gary. The instructions provided involved searching and modifying the registry which I am not comfortable doing. If there is no problem with continuing with the current version I’ll pass on the upgrade. All I need is to send and receive emails. Don’t use the program for anything else.
