Unable to send or receive email

Since November 12, 2020, I have been unable to send or receive emails.
I have the latest version eM Client installed and all email server settings are confirmed and correct.
I have a bellsouth.net extension for my email and the error message says that the email is unable to connect to the server. Oddly enough the same email works just fine on my cell phone but not on my laptop. FRUSTRATED!! HELP!!

Can you completely disable your anti-virus/firewall or VPN application and try again.

I disabled the anti virus and firewall and still unable to send or receive email.

Go to Menu > Operations and look for any errors in the Log tab.

Error message

CONNECTION FAILED
An attempt to connect to exodusbuilders@bellsouth.net failed. This could be caused by temporary server unavailability or incorrect settings.

What version of eM Client are you using?

If it is not the latest available in the Release History, can you upgrade and see if there is any difference.

Version 8. I uninstalled the old version and reinstalled the newest version last night.

Maybe something to ask BellSouth about?

I believe that @Gary is correct, I remember recently reading about connection issues with bellsouth.net/AT&T and 3rd party email clients now needing authentication.
