Unable to send e-mails from eM Client to Optus account

I am an Optus user here in Australia and ever since the hacking last year I have been unable to send emails. I am using the POP3 (110) and SMTP settings (25). I am in the process of trying to get answers from Optus.
Has anyone experienced the same problem and should I be changing to IMAP settings

According to the Optus webpage link below, they still say they use POP & SMTP ports 110 & 25.

So would need to know what actual error you are getting when trying to send and receive email ?

To see the error when eM Client is open, click the drop-down arrow on the right of the refresh button top left and then click on Show Operations. Then click the “Log tab” on the right. Lastly look for any obvious errors and then paste that in this thread.
